Olaf Petersen

Olaf is a Certified German Tax Advisor, a Certified Public Accountant and a founding partner of Petersen + Partner mbB. He specializes in advising mid-size business and individuals within their tax and accounting affairs. Olaf is providing full service tax and business advice, including support with ongoing bookkeeping, payroll services, financial statement preparation and tax compliance work. He focuses on tax planning and restructurings, domestic and cross border acquisitions and public accountant's work.

Special expertise

Olaf has more than 40 years of practical work experience running an own tax advising and public accounting firm and is a partner in Petersen + Partner mbB since 2015. He is serving clients on all their tax and accounting matters, covering a wide range of industries. Olaf has far reaching experience in providing advice for mid-size companies with global operations and was for several decades advising one of Germany's biggest logistic companies. He has covered the tax M&A work and the structuring of several global acquisitions as well as various restructurings in the pharma, construction and metal working industry. He is well versed in inheritance tax planning and providing comprehensive VAT advice. Olaf has audited the financial statements of various companies.

Qualification

Olaf holds a degree in business administration from Munich’s Ludwig-Maximilians-University. He qualified as German tax agent (Steuerbevollmächtigter) in 1974 and as Certified German Tax Advisor (Steuerberater) in 1977. In 1988 he qualified as German Public Accountant (Wirtschaftsprüfer). Olaf is a member of the German chamber of tax advisors, the German Chamber of Public Accountants and the Association of Tax Advisors and Public Accountants of Bavaria (LSWB).
